These organisations cater for those deemed to have poor credit profiles, such as having a low or variable income (self employed people can often find themselves in this category), or a previous record of not meeting credit repayments. As any card lender – including those who advertise “no check” cards – will run a credit check on a potential applicant, some of the stricter providers may not extend credit facilities to certain types, which is why there is a necessity to have lenders specialising in poor credit profiles in the marketplace.
